Recently, I’ve seen a lot of home-building experiences, and I’m interested to hear about the largest obstacle in your home-building experience. Was it problems with contractors, unforeseen costs, delays on materials, or simply managing everything yourself? It looks like most homeowners undervalue exactly how complex budgeting and planning can become. A few even suggested engaging in something like usa estimating services, or other professionals, for estimating costs and doing the takeoffs; this way you could avoid some of the large surprises later on. However, every project has its hurdles right? I would love to know some personal stories or lessons learned of yours. If you were to build again, what would you do differently? Let’s share experiences I think it will help many first-time builders avoid similar mistakes.
