Instagram no longer shows a clear list of recently followed accounts, but it’s not completely hidden. By checking someone’s following list regularly, you can sometimes notice new profiles appearing or shifts in order.It’s not exact, but with a bit of attention, you can still figure out recent activity.

Funny enough I only started paying attention to this when I was helping my younger cousin figure out who her favorite blogger had just connected with, and we ended up checking the following list like it was some kind of little investigation. At first it looked completely shuffled, but after refreshing it a few times over a couple of evenings, we began to notice certain accounts moving around more than others. Somewhere in the middle I saw a mention of recently-followed and it actually made the whole thing easier to understand. It’s not something you can rely on 100 percent, but with a bit of patience you really can spot small changes.
